Common Causes and Solutions for Connectivity Issues with eSIM
Mobile Data Not Enabled on eSIM
Even if your eSIM is installed, you won't be able to connect unless it's activated. Check your mobile data settings to ensure that data is turned on.
Turn Airplane Mode on and off / Restart Device
Sometimes, turning Airplane Mode ON and then OFF can refresh your connection settings and resolve connectivity issues. Similarly, restarting your device may also resolve the problem.
Coverage Area
If you're outside the coverage area of the eSIM's carrier, you may not be able to connect. Most carriers provide coverage maps, so please check to ensure you are within the service area.
Roaming Settings
Some eSIMs connect using the carrier's own network, while others use the network of a roaming partner. If your eSIM uses a roaming partner's network, please ensure that roaming is turned ON in your device settings.
Switch to 4G
Although your device typically switches to the appropriate network standard automatically, switching to 4G manually may help if you're experiencing connectivity issues. Please refer to the relevant article to change your network speed settings.
Manual Network Selection
While your device usually selects the correct network automatically, if the correct network isn't selected, you may be able to connect by choosing the network manually. Please refer to the relevant article for instructions on switching networks and checking your connection.
